Staatenhaus am Rheinpark Köln - Convention Headquarters C'n'B 2010

After a six-year odyssey through Cologne, c/o pop finally has a large and well-connected base it can call its own – for the next few years at least. Located next to the Tanzbrunnen and the exhibition site, the Staatenhaus am Rheinpark (Rheinparkhallen) provides c/o pop with a fixed abode and gives the Convention the chance to expand even further in the future. A listed building, the Staatenhaus was opened in 1928 and rebuilt in the 1950s after being almost completely destroyed in World War II.

Anfahrt:

By car

* Once you get into the vicinity of the exhibition centre, follow the green “Koelnmesse” signposts. These will guide you directly to the Staatenhaus am Rheinpark.

By rail

* From Köln Messe/Deutz station it is an approximately 5 – 7 minute walk to the Rheinparkhallen. Follow the signs or take bus number 150 towards Thermalbad.
* On arrival at Cologne Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) take the S6 (towards Essen), the S13 (towards Troisdorf), the S11 (towards Bergisch Gladbach), the Regionalexpress RE (towards Koblenz or KölnMesse/Deutz or Hamm (Westf.), or the Regionalbahn RB (in towards Oberbarmen or Overath) which will take you to Köln Messe/ Deutz station. There follow the signposts for pedestrians to the Staatenhaus am Rheinpark Köln (approx. 5-7 minutes’ walk) or take bus no. 150 towards Thermalbad.
* From Hauptbahnhof it is also possible to walk to the Staatenhaus am Rheinpark Köln via the Hohenzollern bridge, or else take a taxi or the Rhine ferry. The journey takes less than 15 minutes. The route is signposted.

By tram

* Tram no. 1 (towards Bensberg, no. 3 (towards Thielenbruch, no. 4 (towards Schlebusch) and no. 9 (towards Königsforst) will all take you to the Deutz/Messe stop. There take bus no. 150 or follow the signs for pedestrians. The walk will take you approximately 5 to 7 minutes.

By air

* Take the S-Bahn (Suburban Railway) no. 13 from Cologne/Bonn Airport to the “Deutz/Messe” stop (journey time approx. 15 minutes). The route from there is signposted and will take you 5 -7 minutes on foot.
