10's across the Board – Ballroom Performance

Performance

April 25

If you want to experience an exciting introduction to the world of ballroom, you shouldn't miss the ‘10’s across the Board’ performance!

Over the past three years, we have already organised three Major Balls in collaboration with Crystal 007. In 2025, Ballroom will once again be part of the c/o pop programme, but this time you can expect an extraordinary battle: six performers will compete against each other and take you on an impressive journey into the world of Ballroom. All participants will have to prove themselves in iconic categories such as New Way, Fashion, Vogue Fem, Runway, Old Way and Face. Some of the performers are specially invited guests, while others have fought hard to earn their place on stage by winning prestigious categories at previous Balls.

Ballroom is far more than just a performance - it is a culture, a way of life and a space for empowerment. Originating in New York in the 60s and 70s, the Ballroom community was created by and for the Afro and Latin American trans, drag and LGBTQIA* community. Ballroom was created as a space for empowerment - a survival mechanism that provided visibility, safety and the opportunity for marginalised groups affected daily by the intersection of racism and homophobia and transphobia to express themselves, grow and find a voice.

To this day, Ballroom is an important cultural and community space for BIPOC and queer people, based on a family network and incredibly creative output.

Crystal 007 is not only the host, but also an influential figure in the German ballroom scene. As the evening's host, she brings her many years of experience and passion for the scene to the c/o pop festival for the fourth time!
